The puzzle is a 2x2x2 inside a 4x4x4 inside a 6x6x6, with all of their pieces visible and meant to be solved. And it's a Super Cube, where you can't swap two identical pieces and keep the solved state. But how all the pieces relate to the three base puzzles and to the Crazy 4x4x4 v2 can be seen better on the picture below. I used the same colors for the parts as Carl had so it was easier to compare with his renders.
