It is a six layered version of the Megaminx. I bought the puzzle just for collection purposes. Allegedly ShengShou's version of the puzzle is better than mf8's so I picked that one. And the quality indded is good. Out of the box the puzzle is very loose. In fact it arrived with several pieces popped out, but it wasn't difficult to put them back in. I haven't tried tensioning it yet.
