Mirror AI, Part 2

Horror Mirror AI Cube, 3D printed extensions, black PLA, Horror sticker scheme

After the first fail with stickers I decided to try and design a Horror sticker set for this puzzle. It was a little tricky, but not too difficult: label each sticker with a unique number, scramble the cube into a nice looking irregular form, draw each face preserving pieces' proportions and their numbers, use the drawings to make the template. And the hardest part: solve the puzzle back into a cube again.

Now the puzzle has two solved states: a regular cube with mixed colors on all faces (beautiful patterns), and an irregular scrambled shape with only one color on each face (breathtaking sculpture). In face there are more solved states (or sub-states) as some center pieces can be exchanged while still maintaining a valid solved state. I may update this post with pictures of the puzzle fully scrambled once I decide to bring it back into the cube shape again.

For the colors I decided to have ice blue for blue, and lime tree green for green. Because the other day I ordered "just six regular colors" for another puzzle and the green, and blue were too dark and hard to tell apart in lower light. I didn't want the same situation here. I even designed a logo for the stickers. In fact there were three logos. And of course I made a mistake again and sent a template with a wrong logo in it. I can fix it another time. The current logo is very nice, too. Beautifully cut by Chewies Custom Stickers.

The puzzle turns smoothly. I only had to tighten the screws a little bit to counter-balance the weight of the extensions. Some strong magnets would help a little, but now it's too late for that. For the most part the only moves are those of a 2x2x2 and that hardly needs any magnets. It would be cool, nonetheless.

Update:
As promised, the puzzle fully scrambled:
